Glass-fiber wrapped enameled flat copper wire is manufactured by first applying an enamel coating to a high-quality rectangular copper conductor and then wrapping it with glass fiber. According to customer requirements, the appropriate thermal class of insulating varnish is selected and baked so that the glass fiber, insulating varnish, and conductor are firmly bonded into an integrated structure.
The fiber covering consists of a combination of polyester and glass fibers. The glass fibers are electrical-grade continuous-filament glass yarn, while the polyester fibers are high-grade yarn produced through the linear polymerization of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. The polyester fiber content does not exceed 50% of the total yarn weight.
